Joburg winters can bring icey temperatures and harsh conditions and the need for extra food and warmth by the less fortunate becomes urgent for their survival.
BIB UNITE thought it be a great start by taking some of the chill out of winter and initiating a BIB Winter Drive. With warm hearts and open hands the Barker Team have responded with enthusiasm and generosity donating clothes, blankets, tin food, soups etc. for BIB’s Winter Drive.
These donations have been collected by Roger of My Soul Provider who distributes donations / food to various shelters such as the Immaculata Shelter for the homeless in Rosebank Johannesburg, the Metropolitan Evangelical Service, which feeds and supports the destitute in downtown Johannesburg, and the Peter Jackson Project which cares for children orphaned by AIDS in Diepsloot.
