On the 1st and 2nd of September, the BIB Crew were joined by the fantastic folk at Pulse Point to get skilled up in CPR and basic First Aid. The team were all very enthusiastic and eager to learn skills that could land up saving a life. The Pulse Point team were very thorough, and clarified the many queries our team had. There are many many opinions about CPR and First Aid and what should or shouldn't be done, that people have heard or seen on TV, some of these could in fact make the situation worse. We would definitely recommend a basic course to get properly skilled up, and who knows, you could land up saving someone’s life. Well done BIB, you are all heroes!
Fun fact from the course: When performing CPR the speed and rhythm of your compression's is the same as that of the BeeGees Song "Staying Alive" - "Ah, ha, ha, ha, staying alive, staying alive" (Bet you're singing it now, aren't you :) )
