When the word “Insurance” is mentioned, most people wouldn’t normally associate it with a positive image. However, for us, insurance isn’t all doom and gloom. We are lucky enough to be a part of the happy memories too. The excitement of getting a new car or new home, getting that fancy bicycle you’ve always wanted, or keeping the secret of an up and coming engagement when insuring that very special piece of jewellery.
Keeping the engagement secret is one of our favourites. One particular occasion, a Barker client was planning his proposal and got in touch with his Barker personal consultant to insure the freshly collected engagement ring. Policy amendment done, dusted and safely insured, his consultant wished him the very best of luck and said, “Knock her socks off!”.
A few days later, the Barker Consultant got an email from this client to say thanks for the assistance and that his then girlfriend, now fiance’ had said “Yes!” and they are officially engaged. He also said, “How funny, when I proposed, she just so happened to be wearing her Barker socks!” And was kind enough to share the below photo for us!
