The Barker Wildlife Calendar is a well-loved feature in many Barker Commercial Clients’ offices; and has been for almost 20 years. The striking imagery used in these iconic calendars is sourced from the prestigious Londolozi Game Reserve.
We are very grateful to have access to these breathtaking images, and are equally grateful for this long-standing partnership. We believe it has been so successful because both the Barker and Varty families – founders of Londolozi – share several fundamental values. Both our families are passionate about being the best in our respective industries, while providing our clients with top-class service, with a personal touch that they won’t be able to find anywhere else.
The relationship is even more special to us because it allows us to make meaningful contributions to two causes very close to our hearts. The first is the African Bushveld – any client that has ever interacted with a member of the Barker family will know just how very dear the African Bushveld is to us. We are proud that our relationship with Londolozi contributes to the meaningful wildlife preservation work they do in South Africa.
Further to this, education is another cause that matters to the Barker family. Londolozi donates some of the funds received for the use of their imagery to the GoodWork Foundation, founded by Kate Groch through her time at Londolozi. The foundation’s mission deeply resonates with us at Barker: “We Challenge HOW we learn, WHAT we learn, and WHO has access to learning” and we are elated to be able to support them in this inspiring initiative.
